Integrative Counseling could Enhance Knowledge and Attitudes of Women Sex Workers about Sexually Transmitted Infections

BACKGROUND: Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are preventable and treatable diseases. Female sex workers more susceptible to contracting STIs. Successful prevention of STIs will not be achieved without community involvement patient compliance in implementing programs. AIM: The study aimed analyze the effect integrative counseling on knowledge attitudes about METHODS: This type research is a quasi-experiment with pre-post test two-group design. population was female sexual (FSW) at Mawar PKBI clinic Bandung City. number samples per group 28 people. sampling technique purposive technique. attitude instruments used questionnaire. Differences pre post-test treatment control groups dependent t-test. independent RESULTS: showed that intervention group’s mean ability before after increased higher than group. statistical results value p = 0.000, meaning 5% alpha, there significant difference between <α (0.05), so statistically, average groups. < α significantly affects CONCLUSION: Suggestions for Clinic PKBI, City, West Java, Indonesia can facilitate FSW using modules they improve STI behavior.
